Novilla Mattress Review: Is the Current Bliss Worth Buying?

By MattressProducts.com Editorial Team

Compare the current US Novilla Bliss: sleeper fit, older test findings, price snapshots, material claims and brand-direct versus Amazon returns.

Quick Verdict

  • Shortlist the current Bliss for a budget foam-hug route; older test results do not guarantee the feel of every current height.
  • Compare another construction if strong sitting edges or easy turning matter most. Both external reviews identify edge limitations in their units.
  • Our shopping reference is the US 12-inch Queen Bliss Memory Foam Mattress. Match model, height and size before comparing.
  • Separate direct-store trial conditions from Amazon seller terms. A warranty is not a long comfort trial.

Novilla Mattress Review: Is the Current Bliss Worth Buying?

Editorial illustration. Check the linked manufacturer pages for exact product photos.

The Novilla Bliss is a reasonable shortlist candidate when you want a lower-cost memory-foam mattress and can accept uncertainty about edge strength and long-term feel. It is a less convincing first choice if you need a firm sitting edge, dislike sinking into foam, or want cooling performance established for the exact current model.

This is an editorial research review, not a report of sleeping on a purchased test unit. We checked the current US brand store, its variant data and policy pages on October 30, 2026, then compared those facts with clearly attributed external tests. Our shopping reference is the current 12-inch Queen Bliss Memory Foam Mattress. A product name shared with an older mattress does not establish identical construction.

Images are independently AI-generated editorial references. Generic scenes and fictional people do not depict the named products, actual customers or our own tests. Product identities come from the linked specifications and model names.

These recommendations describe buying priorities. They are not weight limits, medical advice, or a prediction that every sleeper will experience the same firmness.

First identify which Novilla you are buying

The current Bliss product page lists multiple heights. The 12-inch Queen selector identifies a 60-by-80-inch all-foam model. The product is distinct from the brand's hybrid mattresses and from AiryFlow, which appears as a separate upgrade route on the page.

For shopping purposes, retain three identifiers together: Bliss Memory Foam, 12 inches, Queen. A marketplace title that simply says “Novilla 12-inch mattress” leaves out the construction and can lead you to a different bed. A review of a hybrid cannot establish the feel of an all-foam Bliss; a test of a thinner Bliss cannot establish how the thicker version will respond.

Match the model, height, size and version before applying test evidence; Bliss foam is not a hybrid and a review score is not a new-unit test.
AI-assisted editorial checklist, not a verified layer drawing or product test. Model context: current Bliss page. View full size.

That identity check also changes the way to read star ratings. A listing may group several heights or sizes. A comment about a small guest-room mattress can answer a different question from a couple's experience on a Queen. Owner comments can suggest what to investigate, but the review count is not a material specification or a defect rate.

What independent tests can establish

Two useful external reviews reach different firmness judgments. We have not averaged their scores or imported their measurements into a rating of the current model.

External sourceScope of its evidenceUseful findingImportant limit
Sleep Foundation, Logan FoleyIts reviewed all-foam Bliss; page updated October 21, 2026Describes medium firmness, strong motion isolation and weaker edge supportThe update date does not establish the manufacturing revision of the tested unit or equivalence to the current variant
NapLab, Derek HalesOlder nominal 12-inch Queen; reviewer measured 11.5 inchesDescribes medium-firm feel, deep sinkage, very low bounce and weak edgesThe tested unit's identity and layer data do not prove the build of today's store variant

NapLab documents model NV0M801-12-Q-1 and a 2024 delivery date on the tested unit's label. The current brand-store variant feed identifies our reference as NV0M801-12-Q. Related model codes are useful traceability, but do not by themselves prove an unchanged build. Sleep Foundation's refreshed page now lists a 100-night trial; the detailed conditions still come from the seller handling your order.

The most useful agreement is about the overall buying tradeoff: this is a contouring foam route with reasons to be cautious about edge use. The firmness disagreement remains unresolved. Different units, body characteristics and testing methods can matter; we cannot establish the precise cause from the published material.

There is also a limitation inside NapLab's own page: its summary criticizes cooling and motion transfer, while its detailed cooling section reports a favorable result. We preserve that inconsistency rather than selecting whichever sentence makes the mattress look best. Its detailed temperature observation concerns its tested unit, not a measured cooling advantage for today's Bliss.

The practical consequence is to shortlist by the documented foam feel and edge tradeoff, then evaluate the exact unit under the applicable trial. A third-party score should not decide a purchase when the model version and the page's own conclusions are uncertain.

Side sleepers

A shopper who likes a noticeable foam hug has a stronger reason to investigate the Bliss than someone seeking an immediately buoyant surface. Shoulder room and pelvic support need to work together. If you feel pressure at the shoulder while your hips sink deeply, buying more nominal mattress height is not an established solution.

During an eligible home trial, keep your usual pillow initially and assess the whole position. A pillow that was appropriate on a firmer bed may become too tall once your shoulder settles farther into foam. Our side-sleeper buying guide explains that interaction.

Back and stomach sleepers

The relevant question is how evenly your torso is supported, rather than whether a listing uses the word “medium-firm.” Someone who spends time on their stomach and already dislikes a deep foam cradle should compare a flatter, more resistant feel first. Neither external review establishes a universal safe body-weight cutoff for the current mattress.

Couples and edge users

Motion isolation and edge space solve different problems. A surface can reduce the sensation of partner movement yet feel less secure near the perimeter. If you routinely sit at the edge to dress, push from the side to stand, or sleep close to the outside, that limitation can matter more than reduced motion transfer.

A practical assessment is to use your normal entry and exit route, turn in both directions, and lie near your usual edge position. Do not infer a measured transfer or edge score for the current Bliss from our table.

Price: compare the actual size and channel

The brand's public variant data showed the following 12-inch Bliss prices on October 30, 2026. These are US direct-store snapshots before any checkout-dependent tax or additional discount, not Amazon prices or guaranteed future offers.

For a meaningful comparison, include the mattress, a compatible base if needed, delivery and any return transport. A cheaper checkout can be a worse fit if the return arrangement is difficult for your home. Conversely, a more expensive direct order is not automatically better merely because a trial badge looks reassuring.

Cooling, foam density and the claims we cannot turn into scores

The brand markets gel-infused foam and a washable cover. Those details describe the product proposition; they do not establish an overnight temperature advantage in your room. Bedding, body contact, room conditions and the exact foam stack all affect the experience.

We did not find sufficient comparable current layer-density disclosures to rank the heights for durability. That matters because a tall mattress can gain height through several different combinations of comfort and support foam. A total-height number does not reveal how much of each material is present. The foam-density guide explains what a density figure can and cannot tell you.

The current brand page distinguishes cover fabric, memory foam, cushioning foam, support foam and bottom fabric. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not our teardown. They do not supply enough height-specific thickness and density information to reconstruct or compare the current internal builds accurately, so we have not drawn a supposed exact-model cutaway.

We also would not treat an older reviewer's odor duration as a countdown for a newly purchased unit. Packaging history and the room differ. Follow setup instructions and use the off-gassing guide for a practical response to persistent odor.

Fiberglass and the removable cover

The current Bliss page describes its sleep surface as fiberglass-free and advertises a washable removable cover. Those are current manufacturer statements, not findings from our own materials analysis. They should not be extended to all previous Novilla models or to every mattress sold under the brand.

The CertiPUR-US FAQ explicitly limits its certification to qualifying flexible polyurethane foam. A foam logo does not establish the composition of the fire barrier, cover or whole mattress. Likewise, a zipper by itself does not establish permission to remove a cover. Use the exact unit's care label, and stop if it conflicts with the listing.

Returns: the current detailed policy matters

The dedicated Novilla returns page describes a 100-night mattress trial for direct novillashop.com purchases. Its important conditions include:

  • Unopened mattress returns have a 30-day delivery window.
  • Opened-mattress comfort returns require at least 30 nights and must be requested within 100 days of delivery.
  • The opened mattress must remain sanitary and donatable.
  • The trial is limited to one mattress per household per year.
  • Third-party purchases, including Amazon orders, follow the retailer's policy.

There is a real documentation conflict: the site's generic refund-policy page still describes 30-day returns and unused-condition restrictions. We would save the dedicated current trial terms and obtain written confirmation for the actual order rather than assuming that every page says the same thing. We cannot guarantee how a disputed individual return will be resolved.

Before opening the box, save the order receipt, selected size and height, seller name and return page. After setup, keep a photograph of your own law label and the supplied care instructions. If you need help later, that record identifies the mattress actually delivered rather than a similar search listing.

An expanded foam mattress should not be treated like an ordinary parcel return. Novilla's dedicated page says it cannot be compressed back into its original box and provides a different process for opened mattresses. Contact the correct seller before arranging transport or attempting to force it into packaging. The direct-store page's 30-night adjustment condition is a return-policy condition, not medical advice to continue using an unsuitable bed.

The 10-year limited warranty is a separate defect remedy, not a ten-year comfort trial. Its mattress section lists qualifying lasting indentations greater than one inch, subject to appropriate support, and excludes ordinary softening and comfort preference. Save the order information and warranty card; the stated eligibility is for the original buyer through the brand or an authorized dealer.

Direct-store orders use the brand-store trial conditions; Amazon orders use the seller terms. Save model, receipt, labels and policy; warranty and comfort trial are different.

We have not assigned a current price winner across these models because that requires matching today's size, seller and checkout offer. Read our Zinus and Nectar research before treating a brand substitution as an equivalent mattress.

The purchase decision

Choose the Bliss when its actual price, contouring-foam proposition and documented return route match your needs. Compare another bed first when edge use, easy movement or predictable heat management is the priority. The unresolved point is the relationship between older tested units and the current range. A low price can justify a careful shortlist; it cannot resolve that identity gap.

For the first weeks, keep a short record of edge use, turning, shoulder pressure and your usual sleeping position. Change one comfort variable at a time, keep the mattress protected, and contact the correct seller before its deadline. Our trial checklist helps organize the record without turning the process into an invented test score.

Sources and research method

Research checked October 30, 2026. Product facts and policy statements come from the linked brand pages; external observations remain attributed to their authors. Relevant owner discussions, including Novilla Experiences and an older Bliss buying discussion, helped identify questions about height, feel and cooling. Their anecdotes did not establish current specifications, issue frequency or return rights. We did not purchase or laboratory-test this mattress.

Frequently asked questions

Which Novilla mattress does this review cover?

The US Bliss Memory Foam Mattress, with the current 12-inch Queen as the shopping reference. Older tested Bliss units, other heights, AiryFlow models and Novilla hybrids are identified separately rather than treated as the same mattress.

Is the Novilla Bliss soft or firm?

External reviews disagree: Sleep Foundation describes a medium feel and NapLab rates its older tested unit medium-firm. Neither result establishes the feel of every current height. Use those findings to judge whether a contouring foam bed suits you, rather than treating a number as a fit guarantee.

Does the Novilla Bliss contain fiberglass?

The current brand page describes its sleep surface as fiberglass-free. That is a manufacturer statement about the current product, not our material test or proof about every older Novilla model. Keep the exact model label and follow its cover-removal instructions.

Does an Amazon Novilla purchase include the brand's 100-night trial?

Novilla's detailed returns page restricts its 100-night mattress trial to direct purchases from novillashop.com. Third-party purchases follow the retailer's terms. An Amazon listing should not be assumed to include the direct-store trial.

Can the Bliss cover be washed?

The current Bliss product page advertises a removable washable cover. Follow the care label supplied with your exact unit; this does not establish that an older Bliss or a different Novilla mattress has a washable cover.

Will a thicker Bliss necessarily last longer?

No. Total height alone does not establish foam density, fatigue resistance, or durability. The current public product information does not provide enough comparable layer-density data to rank the different heights by lifespan.
